Circolo Tennis Roma

At the intersection of Piazzale Ipponio and Via dei Laterani, a tower just over two meters high marks the beginning of a long stretch of Walls up to Porta Metronia, facing Via della Ferratella inside and Viale Ipponio outside. This section of the fortification, marked by six towers, forms the backdrop of the Tennis Roma club, founded immediately after WWII. Until the 1970s, the club used the internal walkway of the Aurelian Walls, traces of which remain. A plaque commemorates restorations by Pope Urban VIII Barberini.
