Società Ginnastica Roma

Founded in 1890 and relocated to the Muro Torto area in 1920, it was one of the capital’s first
sports clubs. Over the years it consolidated its role in promoting physical education and sport in
Rome. Activities included gymnastics, tennis, running, skating, target shooting, and more. After
overcoming the difficulties of World War II, during the 1960 Olympics the club hosted training for
the Japanese team.
